Tibetan Crisp-Fried Noodles with Vegetables
(Food and Wine 10/91 p.79)*
* yes, 10/91. In filing all of our food mags in the new library, we often get sidetracked and tonight's dinner was a result...

(stuffed w/ basil, soy cheese and tomato served with a balsamic vinegar and sundried tomato vinaigrette)
Sweet and Sour Baby Onions
Coturri Sangiovese (California /1999)
Frankie Laine - A Cottage For Sale
Return To Me -- David Duchovny and Minnie Driver... Better than I expected, there were only a couple of moments when it was "spot the Mulder tic." But I'm not sure what was more distracting, Minnie's Chicago accent or Carrol O'Connor's Irish one

Spanish Style Seitan Stew
(Sherry, Paprika, Garlic, Onion, Soyrizo, White Beans and Seitan)
Birthday Girl -- A decent movie, but it's like you were distracted by Nicole Kidman playing the role. She's too big a star to be in these kinds of movies anymore. And as a "bonus" (I'm not sure to who), she sings with Robbie Williams. I had to explain to Liz who he was -- sorry Robbie, in this country people just don't "get" you. Nothing personal.

Star Trek - Insurrection (somehow missed watching this the first time around, familiar plot elements are at play here, although the Data/Riker and Troi/Riker bits were fun...)

Yet Another Update
OK, vacation's over, finished moving furniture, painting and putting boxes and boxes of books into the library. Still a bunch more work to do (magazines and moving paintings) but all in all, a productive "vacation"...
In bloggy matters, I'm dropping the breakfast thing as most of you know it's some kind of combination of bread, Soy Boy Breakfast Links and hot sauce with club soda. I get bored typing it, and you get bored reading it ;) Same with lunch, as it's mostly leftovers from the night before...
So for now, it'll be just dinner and we'll see how that works out...

Had a tomato and jalapeno stuffed quesadilla with guacamole and sour cream. Other than a bowl of Chocolate Glace Ice Cream, it's too damn hot to think about eating anything else...

Postings may be sporadic over the next week as we're on vacation. Which explains why there was nothing yesterday, and this might be it for today as well...
Had a cookout w/ Courage Burgers and some fresh from the fields sweet corn...
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back - I've liked all of Kevin Smith's movies since Clerks, so of course I liked this one as well... (and nice to see Dante and Randal again).
